color, religion, national origin, sex or age-except the applicant
must be at least 17 years of age to apply and 18 years of age at
time of indenture. The JATC does not, and will not, discriminate
against a qualified individual with a disability because of the
disability of such individual.
This area has been developed to provide a gateway for our members

What Is
Apprenticeship? Check out our
Photo album
The apprentice learns the skills of the trade through on the job
training, working alongside an experienced journeyman who passes on
the skills that he or she has learned over the years. In addition to
the on the job training the apprentice receives related classroom
instruction that produces competency and pride that leads to
becoming a true craftsman.
 |
Another true advantage to apprenticeship is you
earn while you learn.
Apprentices start earning a livable wage as soon as they start
working. They receive pay advancements through out their
apprenticeship based on performance. |
